Thank You, for being part of our foundation's support team.
My name is George Palombo. I am the CEO and founder of Palombo & Friends Foundation and JoesHelpline.org.
I want you to remember that name – JoesHelpline.org. It is a site where anyone can go to give and receive help.
I am an unconventional CEO. I have some challenges. But then again, so does everyone. Each person in this world is unique. We all have different abilities. And we all have something to give.
My father was a great guy, not because of what he acquired - he was a humble, blue collar, working man - but because of how he lived. Dad was a giver. And he never gave up on me.
You can read all about his interesting life on this website.
Dad taught me that there are three kinds of people in this world:
the takers, the followers and the givers. He admonished me to be true to my heart. He warned me not to be a hypocrite. I made a promise to my dad that I would make him proud.
It has been many years since my dad’s passing. For a long time, I did my best to honor his legacy by helping others, one at a time. Now, because of the Internet, it is possible to reach a lot more people.
My brother, Tom, and I have founded an organization to give back to Life and continue Dad’s giving in a much bigger way. We created the Palombo & Friends foundation, dedicated to the memory of our dad, Joe Palombo, and to all true givers like him.
On our website, you can volunteer your time and service to others.
If you already provide free or very low cost assistance to those who face challenges, you can register your organization and let others know of the services you offer. If you are facing some sort of personal challenge, you can go to our website and find out what resources are available to you.
We have set up our website so that it will read to you. This is a big advantage to folks like me who have difficulty reading, and people who have problems with their vision.
Regardless of what challenges you may be facing, I want to remind you of two things:
1. You are not alone. And
2. We all have something to give.
I want to acknowledge my brother, Tom, for all the amazing work he does. He is really a phenomenal person. I am so proud of him. His hard work and dedication have made our foundation a reality. I had a vision for a simple website and he went overboard and built a beautiful website that is accessible to everyone.
I also want to thank all the many volunteers who help JoesHelpline.org continue to grow. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
To those new friends in North Carolina whom I haven’t yet met: Thank You! Thank you for your warm hearts and giving ways. Thank you for caring about people and animals and Life. Thank you for your kindness.
If I could tell people something important it would be this:
Be a giver.
Share what you’re good at.
Do good deeds.
Treat others with kindness.
If you are facing challenges:
Never give up.
You can do a lot more than you might think.
Technology nowadays is making it easier and easier for everyone.
Remember there’s always a plus or a hidden blessing in every challenge.
If you need help, receive it. But don’t just be a taker. Help others, too.
My dad inspired me to be a better person and to be a giver. I hope his story inspires you, too.
If you would like to help others in a really quick and easy way, just forward our site – JoesHelpline.org - to your family and friends and share our site on social media.
Thank you for being a positive influence in this world.
Be a giver, and you will be blessed.
